Mama Mia Pediatrics

Wrong code for labs were placed. Attempted to call Provider to have codes changed from screening to diagnostic. Medical staff was called 4 times in a span of a week. One stated that she will give information to the NP. Called again to follow up. Nothing was done. Called again the following day and Medical Staff stated that systems are down and to call on Monday. Called again today and Medical clerk stated that if I can provide the fax number to LabCorp. I said I do not have it and would have to search via Google. Staff very unresourceful and have client do the clinical work for them. Acquired the fax number from website and called Mama Mia pediatrics and another clinical Staff answered. I asked to speak to Jennifer, the first staff I spoke to and Bridget stated that Jennifer was with another pt. I gave the fax number to Bridget and when she was taking it down it sounded like she was just hurrying me up to get off the phone. She said she will give the fax number to Jennifer. I had no confidence in her so I asked her for her Name and to please repeat the number because this situation is kind of important because I am being billed due to wrong coding. She finally said her name and repeated the number for me. I will be looking for another Pediatrician within my Federal BCBS network. I highly recommend that you stay away from this practice and find another. The other reviews regarding wait time even scheduled is true. I am a Seasoned Registered Nurse and these Medical Assistants are subpar which makes Mama Mia a horrendous place for your child healthcare, and the parents pockets for unreliable Medical Assistants relaying important message from client to Provider. Long wait time, crowded waiting area, and subpar Medical Assistants, and schedulers.

Doctor Gabriel Carpo is great but the new associates don’t look like they know what they’re doing. I asked for a referral to get my 5 year old diagnosed for autism and I was sent to a psychiatrist that doesn’t see kids younger than 11. I called back and let them know that front desk girls are not the friendliest she was rude on the phone and said I can just look for my own specialist. I’m just going to look for a new pediatrician because Mama Mia Pediatrics is not helpful at all and they don’t know what they’re doing.
